Each month, these shows feature four different songwriters in the round at the Bluebird Cafe. All proceeds from these shows go to benefit NSAI's Legislative Fund, which protects and supports the legal rights of songwriters in all genres. Shows such as these have helped make possible the hundreds of trips that NSAI has made to Washington, D.C., on behalf of songwriters and copyright protection. Please see schedule for upcoming performances.

These shows are presented by major publishing companies to promote their writers and support NSAI. All proceeds benefit NSAI's Music Mill Fund, which has been created in order to guarantee a comfortable, supportive and convenient "home" for songwriters. Please see schedule for upcoming performances.

Each spring, NSAI produces the Tin Pan South Songwriters Festival, the largest weeklong festival dedicated to songwriters. The festival, now in its 15th year, is named in honor of New York's fabled Tin Pan Alley (once the world's capital of professional songwriting) and highlights Nashville as the new capital of songwriting by drawing attention to the wide variety of talented writers that live and work in Music City USA. What's more, the festival attracts songwriters from across the country and the Atlantic Ocean. Past performers include Art Garfunkel, Gordon Lightfoot, Donna Summer, Richard Marx, Loretta Lynn, America, Jimmy Webb, Garth Brooks, Townes Van Zandt, Graham Nash, Carole King, and many more. All proceeds from Tin Pan South benefit NSAI's efforts for copyright protection. See schedule for upcoming performances.

This 30-minute television show is a joint venture between NSAI and Nashville's NewsChannel 5 Network.  Created in 2003, this show celebrates the foundation of Music City and the talented songwriters who create the world's music. Hosted by veteran entertainment reporter Harry Chapman, the show features successful writers sharing their music and their stories, as well as important information and insights for aspiring writers. Guests on Words & Music have included Marty Stuart, Rodney Crowell, Beth Nielsen Chapman, Don Henry, Pat Alger, John Ford Coley, Rebecca Lynn Howard, Mentor Williams, Gary Burr, Hal Ketchum, Victoria Shaw and many others. Please see schedule for upcoming performances.
